Baseline Climate - Mean Temperature (July)

Mean Temp July Average Met Office

Mean Temperature – July Average
Mean temperature is an average of the daily maxima and minima.

The average mean temperature for the month of July ranges between 13ºC and 19ºC. The lowest values are in the uplands and the highest values along the coastal margin and urban areas. An explanation for the higher mean temperatures at the coastal areas is the transfer of latent heat from the surface of the sea to the land during net evaporation and condensation. Urban areas have the tendency to be warmer due to anthropogenic impacts that lead to the urban heat island affect and warmer urban areas.
