Soil Temperature – Annual Average
Soil temperatures are measured at 30cm below the surface and recorded at 09:00 hours.

The annual average soil temperature at 30cm from the surface ranges from 2 ºC to 11 ºC. The lowest soil temperatures are in the upland areas of the North York Moors. The highest soil temperatures are located north of the Humber estuary, along the coastal fringe.
